Make Your Bathroom Work Better With a Bathtub
If your bathroom has a shower where you'd rather have a tub, a shower-to-tub conversion gives you a practical way to change how the space works for you. You may want a place to soak, need a tub for young children, or simply prefer having both bathing options available in your home.
Bathing Solutions works with homeowners across Southern California to replace their existing shower with a new bathtub and finishes the surrounding area with a custom acrylic wall system selected to fit your bathroom and style. Our in-house team manages the conversion as one coordinated project, so you have one local company responsible for installation from start to finish.
What Goes Into a Shower-to-Tub Conversion
A shower-to-tub conversion begins with removing the existing shower and preparing the space for the new bathtub. We assess the plumbing, walls, and available footprint, then install the tub, wall surround, fixtures, and necessary plumbing connections.
This isn’t just resurfacing the existing shower space; it’s a complete replacement of the entire wet-space system. You can customize your new acrylic wall system with different colors, patterns, and finishes, including tile-inspired designs that give you the look of traditional tile without grout lines to maintain.
Our in-house installation team completes the work, including plumbing connections and drainage. We don’t pass our projects off to subcontractors.
Types of Shower to Tub Conversions We Offer
At Bathing Solutions, we provide a range of options for converting your shower to a bathtub, ensuring you find the perfect solution for your needs:
Standard Tub Conversions:
Our standard tub conversions replace your existing shower with a traditional bathtub. Choose from various styles, materials, and finishes to create a classic look that enhances your bathroom.
Soaking Tub Options:
For those seeking a more luxurious experience, we offer soaking tubs that provide extra depth and comfort, allowing for a more indulgent bathing experience.
Walk-In Tubs:
If accessibility is a concern, consider our walk-in tubs. These tubs feature low thresholds for easy entry, grab bars, and non-slip surfaces, making them a safe and comfortable option for users of all ages.
Custom Designs:
At Bathing Solutions, we believe your tub should be as unique as you are. We offer customizable designs that allow you to select the perfect color, finish, and accessories to match your personal style and bathroom decor.
Why Some Homeowners Choose a Tub Over a Shower
There is no single reason to install a bathtub where a shower once was. The decision usually comes down to how the household uses the space now and what would make it more useful day-to-day.
Homeowners often choose a shower-to-tub conversion for:
Relaxation: A relaxing soak in a bathtub lets you slow down in a way that showers can’t match.
Family Needs: A tub can make bath time simpler and more practical for families with small children or pets.
Versatile Bathing Options: A shower/tub combo gives household members and guests the choice between bathing and showering.
Resale Value: Many buyers like seeing at least one bathtub in a home, particularly when considering homes suited for families.
Built to Last: What's Included in Every Conversion
Bathing Solutions uses durable, American-made products and keeps every shower-to-tub conversion in-house. While the exact tub, colors, and finishes are customized to your bathroom, every conversion includes:
Bathtub Installation: A new bathtub selected to fit the available space and the way you plan to use it.
Acrylic Wall System: A grout-free surround that is easy to clean and available in a variety of colors, patterns, and textures.
Fixtures and Plumbing: New fixtures, plumbing connections, and proper drainage completed as part of the installation.
American-Made Products: Bathing products made in the USA and selected for long-term durability and everyday use.
In-House Installation: Bathing Solutions employees complete the work without subcontractors.
Lifetime Warranty: Parts and labor are covered under normal use, with a one-time transfer available to the next homeowner.
The result is a bathroom that is easier to care for and built for regular use without the recurring grout maintenance associated with many traditional tile shower walls.

In many bathrooms, we can install a tub within the existing bathing area, but available space, plumbing, and wall layout all matter. We measure the bathroom during your in-home estimate and recommend a configuration that fits the space properly.
Acrylic wall systems are grout-free, which eliminates grout lines that otherwise need regular scrubbing and maintenance. Routine cleaning is typically straightforward, making the surround easier to care for than many traditional tiled walls.
